From
the white house go to the Washington monument. On the cornerstone is
a Bible, and on the top is an aluminum cap that says “laus deo,”
they’re the words engraved on the east side, which mean praise be
to God. This is the first thing to be touched by the rays of the sun
at Washington DC.

president’s words on the wall “the judgments of the Lord are
true and righteous altogether.” With malice toward none, with
charity toward all, with firmness in the right as God gives us to see
the right, let us strive on to finish the work we are in…
This

Walk
beside the reflecting pool look across to Jefferson memorial. On the
wall, he says of God, “the plan of the holy author of our
religion…” God, who gave us life, gave us liberty…
East
past Smithsonian to the capital. This is where Jefferson attended
church services in the capital when he was president, the kind that
talk about Jesus, and were held there for over 50 years.
